Clothing is so much more than just fabric!  They are the patchwork pieces of our lives and lets face it we just can't face to throw them away.

Rather than squirrel the clothing away into the loft and never let them see the light of day again, I turn them into bespoke, individually designed, handmade keepsake items that can be seen, loved and talked about; keeping those memories alive and in your family.

I am Nicola and I've been sewing for many years now.  After a long Infertility journey and being blessed with having my darling daughter I just simply couldn't bear to part with her little dresses and babygrows - I'd been waiting  far too long to get my sticky mitts on them after all!!! So, I made her a cushion...a ted...a rabbit....and then before I knew it Sewing Memories was born.

After years of making I realised first hand the comfort having a keepsake made from my Dads clothing could bring after he sadly passed away. His beloved cardigan is now a Sewing Memories Owl don't you know. Each and every one of my makes comes from the heart and I make them as if they are for my family.  Once you're with Sewing Memories quite frankly you become part of the family!!

We get just one chance to make your treasured item and I strongly believe that communication is key.  I have purposely not added a shopping function to this website.  All my prices are clear and transparent but these special keepsakes are not things that can be picked off a shelf.  I will only take on your commission if I have the availability to complete the work and we are both happy with what you would like.
